This is who I am

My name is Karen and I have two children, ages 24 and 20, and one German husband. We currently live in Burlington, VT, but I come from Chicago Heights, born and raised. I received a BA in Economics from DePauw University in Greencaste, Indiana and an MA in Public Administration from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

I have worked for Nike, Chicago Communities In Schools, and the Institute for European and Asian Studies, to name a few. I have lived in Germany, Ukraine and several states in America. I work out regularly and play pickleball when my somewhat fickle back allows me to. I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, sewing, and taking pictures.
